New York Times Bestseller

An exciting--and encouraging--exploration of creativity from the author of When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing

The future belongs to a different kind of person with a different kind of mind: artists, inventors, storytellers-creative and holistic "right-brain" thinkers whose abilities mark the fault line between who gets ahead and who doesn't.

Drawing on research from around the world, Pink (author of To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Motivating Others ) outlines the six fundamentally human abilities that are absolute essentials for professional success and personal fulfillment--and reveals how to master them. A Whole New Mind takes readers to a daring new place, and a provocative and necessary new way of thinking about a future that's already here.

I stumbled upon this book on a shelf of free books at a local school. The more I read, the better I liked it. I plan to give it to a 15 year old for whom I have great affection. I hope she can use it as a guide to finding a successful career. I am a left brain thinker. Mr Pink has some good ideas about moving me a bit to the right.

Great book on how to gain a competitive edge in today's every changing business world by including right-brain concepts with left-brain logic. Even though this book was written in 2006, the concepts still hold true today. This was an easy read with practical exercises and further reading recommendations at the end of each chapter. I loved it so much that I ordered a copy to have on hand in my home library.

I had been wanting to read this for a while and it was very different than I expected. Still kind of interesting but I'm not sure how much I really liked it that much.
