Reed Brennan arrived at Easton Academy expecting to find an idyllic private school experience -- challenging classes, adorably preppy boys, and a chance to create a new life for herself. Instead, she discovered lies, deception, blackmail, and...murder. But, thankfully, the killers were caught and the nightmare is finally over.

Now, with a new school year ahead of her, Reed steps back on Easton's ivy-covered campus ready to start over. So when the headmaster announces that billings is forbidden from holding their traditional, secretive initiation, Reed is relieved. She champions the new rules and the six new girls the administration has picked to live in Billings Hall: Constance, Missy, Lorna, Kiki, Astrid, and newcomer Sabine.

But Reed's fellow Billings resident and new nemesis, Cheyenne Martin, believes the changes are a mockery of Billings history. Despite the new rules, Cheyenne vows to keep the old ways alive, no matter what -- or who -- stands in her way...

after all the hard labor to become a billings girl Reed must embrace the thought that billings is gone. No way she will have a walk in the park. More secrets and drama in this book.

Enjoyable and a fun read but it was definitely missing something.

Getting to have Constance and some of the original girls from the first book play a more vital rule was nice. I missed them. However, they definitely couldn't fill the roles that the original four Billings 'IT' girls filled. I missed their scheming and their lies and how they manipulated others for their own gain. It did, however, allow Reed to sorta come into her own and that was fun watching her pull her knowledge from all the things the Billings girls had done to her in the previous year.

My biggest grievous with this book was the ending. I won't spoiler you but you'll totally understand when you get there. I know this a teen series but I think Brian could've done better.

The book kept a steady pace and I've got lots of questions about the mysterious Ivy along with new character Sabine, which was smart on Brian's part. Keeps you wanting to read the series.

All in all a good book and still an enjoyable series.
