I read “Prom Crashers” by Erin Downing, it’s from the romantic comedy serious. I really love books from this series so I wasn’t hesitant to read it; I knew it would be a fun read. What grabbed my attention was the cover of the book, it was colorful & pretty and I’ve always loved prom movies so I was intrigued about reading a book about prom. The book is about Emily & Ethan who met once but Emily lost his number, Emily lost all hopes of finding a real boyfriend before the end of the senior year. All she knows about Ethan is his first name, that he has a super cute smile and that he’s going to prom this month but which high school? That’s the big mystery. Emily enlists the help of her three best friends to help her find her mystery man. Together Emily, Charlie, Max, and Sid vow to find Ethan. I loved this book, it was a fun read, it kept me at the hedge of my seat the entire time, every plot twist had me turning the pages and wanting to know how this crazy adventure would end. This book isn't just about prom(s), or finding the boy you saw once almost and whose number you lost. It's about relationships: making sense of them, finding how they figure into your life, learning how they shape themselves differently with each passing day. It's not blatantly stated anywhere, but if you think about it, all of those themes subtly pop up. In all honestly I have to say that this book was great, if you’re looking for a fun and easy read, this is the book for you. The book is also very small so you can just put it in your purse. I hope everyone reads this book!
