I really like this author and her style of writing. In this book Lieutenant Reed Solliday is called to a fire and finds a body burned and finds out that the person has been murdered. When Detective Mia Mitchell is put on this case, she finds out that Reed will be her new temporary partner, while her own partner is recuperating after being shot. The murders and fires are adding up and they still haven't been able to stop the person doing these things. When things heat up between Mia and Reed, they both don't know what to do about it. When the suspect decides to focus on Mia, Reed wants to keep her safe. This is a book you won't want to put down.
