Lovely, luscious recipes---endearing, encouraging notes about cooking and eating from book clubs across the country---a delectable photo of a Caramel Cake that was featured in an otherwise problematic book "The Help", along with a quote from the same book, "Minny said to Celia, 'Crisco is the best new kitchen appliance since jarred mayonnaise!" I appreciate the sentiment if not the comparison. I don't like mayonnaise.
