Al Green has such a beautiful voice! Like many of his albums, there are a couple of cover songs (always beautifully done!) On this album he covers "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" (Hank Williams) and "Funny How Time Slips Away" (Willie Nelson) the rest of the songs are written by Green. Including his soulful "Here I am (Come And Take Me") ending with "Jesus Is Waiting." SPL doesn't have much Al Green (none of his gospel records - there is a DVD of him performing gospel songs - put that one on the purchase list please!), but they are all worth listening to! He has been a minister in Memphis, TN for years, but all of his records are good, silky smooth and beautiful, listen to them all!
