One of the best films I have seen in this year. It was entertaining and interesting. Great performances a must see for all. Truly a really great movie worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. Well worth the price of admission to any theater.

5-stars, excellent film.

After a decade of war, killing and abuse of Vietnamese people became common place. This movie reminds me of the My Lai Massacre when a single platoon shot and killed approximately 400 hundred women, children, infants and men in My Lai village. No one in the platoon stopped the killing. No one.

This movie portrays Michael J. Fox as a low ranking private who is caught in a similar situation. Having a strong sense of ethics, and will, Michael does all he can to protect a Vietnamese girl from harms way but is rebuffed by his platoon leaders.

I picked this DVD to view because
I love war stores especially those
concerning the Vietnam war. However once I read more about
the movie I then remembered that
I had already seen this movie and
remembered how brutally violent
it was showing what I feel really
happens at times when one has
power over another. I've decided
not to view it again as I don't want
to witness the cruelty and be reminded of what power in the wrong hands can get away with. While I think everyone should be
"aware" of this kind of madness, I've already seen it and don't need
to see it again -- it was that brutal.
While movie-wise it was a well
done movie I can't acknowledge
it by giving it 5 stars.

It's very painful to watch.

EXCELLENT FILM, just too painful to watch.

Sadly, the very first fatal CAUSALITIES OF WAR, are those who are armed & shipped to wage & fight wars, while those who decide to make PEACE or WAR from their safe-palaces, have no personal prices to pay for the war or peace they DECLARED from their safe-palaces.

The young people, who put-their lives in line for the war they have not DECLARED, end up paying their lives & killing many other lives.
