The inferiority complex that one can get when its ethnicity is denied trying to pretend to be someone you're not. This portrayed a story about an Italian who hated his roots and a Mexican woman who felt the same about her's. She was okay to bed but not marry and he was rejected because he didn't fit the par according to others. They thought by being Gringo society would accept them. It's the character of the person that counts, not where you come from.
