This is a very funny and borderline irreverent look at various Catholic traditions and practices that is a must-read for us papists. It goes far enough out on a limb to at one point "advise" attending Confession with limited-English East European priests - for an easygoing absolution - and to avoid Filipino ones, whose English is excellent and exactitude notorious! But it's underlining faithfulness is seen in its detailed and humorous explanations of Catholic historical customs, based on the calendar year, as it's warmth is seen in the inclusion of various Catholic-based kitchen recipes. A must-read for those of us with an expansive sense of humor.
