Reads like the title. A very beginner book. Lots of good information but If you have done one race, you are past this book and probably looking for more detailed.

This is a good book for first time triathletes. Despite being targeted at the Sprint distance triathlon it is very good for the introductory distances (called Try-a-tri or Give-It-A-Tri at local events). It is beginner oriented while not talking down to you.
