This is a great read. The author takes you on an armchair journey through the often mysterious and fascinating world of the world's most precious gem stones. Well written and researched, it answered many questions I have long wondered about. In the last pages she even reveals how DeBeers has controlled the diamond industry, and keeps prices of the relatively common diamond at prices far higher than they should be.
