This graphic novel, although the second in the series, can be read as a stand alone. It is of the old Peter Parker I admired as a kid. His sense of humour is still there, but unlike the newer renditions of him, he is is very morally bound and we read about his internal fights. The graphic novel covers the twin towers, Peter Parker living a lie (having two lives is living a lie), and then a standalone for Rhino, one of Spiderman's super villains that we don't hear much about anymore. Strong, fast, impenetrable... and stupid, Rhino wants to change so that he can be a little smarter.

As a fan of the late 1990 to early 2000 Spiderman, I really enjoyed this volume.
