My favorite quote is: "Roast beast is a feast I can't stand in the least!"
(The following is my favourite quote from this holiday classic) - And what happened, then? Well, in Whoville they say - that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then - the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of *ten* Grinches, plus two!
(*Favourite movie-quote*) - "Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville - did not..... The Grinch hated Christmas - The whole Christmas season. Now, please don't ask why - No one quite knows the reason..... It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or it could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all... may have been that his heart was two sizes too small..... But, whatever the reason, his heart or his shoes, he stood there on Christmas Eve hating the Whos."
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!
Yes. Meet Mr. Grinch - He's the absolute meanest (and the greenest) meanie of them all!
What would this happy "Holiday Season" be without at least one viewing of this thoroughly delightful, animated, feature film from 1966?
Based on Dr. Seuss' beloved book, and featuring the voice of Boris Karloff, this absolutely endearing picture has been bringing joy to delighted viewers for nearly fifty years now.
The fun all begins when the mean, old Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the Whos down in Whoville by stealing all of their holiday treats from them.
Without a doubt, How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a true classic that can easily be appreciated by the young and old, alike.... (*Watch video-trailer*)
my favourite Christmas show of all time. Love the theme song.
This is a wonderful Christmas film for the whole family to watch. The message of love and giving is still so meaningful today, and the characters are sure to delight the audience. The narrator's voice was very well picked, and the songs were also great additions to the story. No matter how many times an individual has seen "The Grinch", this is a film that never grows old.
If you can divorce your assessment from the nostalgia of having seen this every year, you come to realize that, absent "Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store/Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more" and "Christmas is within our grasp/As long as we have hands to clasp," there really isn't that much about Christmas, or even that much of a message in this movie. Charming, I grant you, and clever lines and lyrics in places. But meaning came there almost none. (I do like Horton's loyalty and persistence, but the songs make that one hard to sit through.)
Roast beast is a feast I can't stand in the least!
You're a mean one Mr Grinch
