Lucas Davenport #11. Davenport is brought in to investigate the death of a supermodel home for a visit to Minnesota.
I Love the fact that a Beautiful woman asks davenport if He's ever had a threesome?
I've been rereading this series which I began reading in the 90's . This one is the most disappointing so far with a plot that is implusable at best and tedious at worst. I had to read the first chapter twice and I thought that was a bad sign but the ending was nothing short of ludicrous. I hope the next one is better.
I love this series and have read 18 of the 22 books, so I have a good feel for the Prey Series. I found this book tedious, probably in part because it's more of a who-dun-it than a study of an unusual cop and the crazy he's trying to apprehend (or kill, as the case may be). I was bored enough that I skim read part of the book, which I had not done with any of the others.
Entertaining as usual, although I must say I sensed a bit more humour than in most of the previous books in the series. I didn't like the ending much, since I'm not a fan of the "solve the mystery in the last 10 pages" plot. Still, overall, a fun and fast read
Model murders. Weaker plot, villain reveal . Interesting Davenport female probs.
