Author Judy Blume states that Tiger Eyes is about the sudden, tragic loss of someone you love. She lost her father suddenly, when she was 21. The main character’s feelings were based on those of Judy Blume.
There is a variety of characters in this book, and was moving and emotional to read. It is a great, short read, and I do recommend reading it.

It was an okay read. Not very interesting, in-orignal plot of a girls whose father is killed, and her family moves to a new area to recover. She meets friends and recovers. I wouldn't recomend it.
