The Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard trilogy may have concluded, but we haven't heard the last of our favorite peeps from the Nine Worlds. Join Hearthstone, Blitzen, Samirah, Alex, Jack, T.J., Mallory, Halfborn, and more on a hilarious and unforgettable journey through Rick Riordan's unique take on Norse mythology. While Magnus is off visiting his cousin, Annabeth, his friends find themselves in some sticky, hairy, and smelly situations as they try to outwit moronic giants, murderous creatures, and meddlesome gods. Can they stave off Ragnarok at least until Magnus gets back?

This cover is SO pretty. It was definitely an enjoyable bunch of stories, but I think I was just hoping for a bit more. Still definitely worth a read.

Riordan’s ‘9 From the Nine Worlds’ was great reading, my 28th Rick Riordan book. Recommended by Doctor-at-Bass-Fishing-too! Taylor A.

Not a description of the nine worlds as I originally thought but a short story collection, set one each in one of the nine worlds with very slight connection between each.

Short and sweet. Worth picking up if you like the Magnus Chase series (especially so if you think it ended too early. That could have easily gone on for 5 books instead of 3). It's great to check in and see how our favorite characters are getting along in life. Just don't expect an experience from Magnus himself; it's the secondary characters' chance to shine.

The only things to give you pause are the fact that the first story doesn't really have a resolution (maybe that means more material will come) and Hearthstone's story requires a major suspension of disbelief about how effectively a deaf person can lip read.

A fast, fun read for fans of Rick Riordan and a great way to revisit some favorite characters like Hearthstone and Alex Fierro.
