I am not too sure why this movie is as hated as it has been. True their is pretty much no character development and Batman is pretty lame - and for me the biggest lame thing was Stephenwolf who looked WAY too CGI but the rest of the movie was a basic super hero fighting movie. I agree that they had a great opportunity to actually make a movie with some interest to it but missed the mark.

If they want to know how to make a great movie the DC people should watch the new Thor movie or the new Avengers. This was a good movie, and I enjoyed it, but just missed a lot of opportunities.

The best lines were all in the trailers. It's pretty clear Warner Brothers & DC are scrambling to catch up to the Marvel universe. I would have preferred to see individual movies about Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash before this but I'm not sure there are sufficient backstories for that. I also thought the villain and his minions were underwhelming for the hyperbole of the crisis.

How can they make my childhood heroes so dull and lifeless? It starts with the script, I’d say, one that lacks all intrigue or vitality. Perhaps if I were seven years old again I might have enjoyed this. No, I think not; I had taste even then. This movie is a stinker.

"It has a lot of flaws, but it’s fun. I did have fun watching it. I enjoyed seeing this characters on-screen together, I loved seeing Ezra Miller as The Flash and seeing Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, they were new and felt fresh. It was great to see Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot return as Batman and Wonder Woman and I liked Ray Fisher as Cyborg. I think the actors were fine in their roles. I liked some of the action, the music was fun..."

Tried to rate this film with stars but marvel and Disney still hold the copyright for 5 star rating systems. Keanu reaves has a great range of skills in his acting repertoire. No clue how he can be Ben Affleck, Batman, and Wander Wamen all in the same scene. You should watch this film and then watch a better film like Thor Ragnarok. Pretty sure this fulfills my advert quotient. GIVE! ME! THOSE! AD! BUCKS!

I liked the movie and found it entertaining. I do wish DC had taken their time and done a Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman movie before this one, just to better establish the characters. A lot of this movie was focused around catch up and trying to both explain who these heroes who hadn't had their own origin movie are, and the plot. It often seems as if DC is trying to keep up and match Marvel more than put out a great movie. Affleck is the only questionable casting choice for me, with all of the others seeming to be spot on. If you've seen all of the other DC movies, you might as well watch this one too.

Pros: appropriate use of a Leonard Cohen song (seriously, this is important!), Affleck was slightly less annoying than he was in Batman vs. Superman (where he was kind of a perv), Jason Momoa was funny and awesome as Aquaman (despite what the fanboys say), and Gal Gadot wins again playing Wonder Woman. I don't know how I feel about Ezra Miller yet as the Flash. I loved him in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but he seemed a little like an excitable terrier in this.

Cons: I would've liked a little more backstory on Cyborg. I knew nothing about him going in, and I felt like the character was done a disservice.

Conclusion: I'm glad I didn't see this in the theatre, but I will eagerly await Aquaman's standalone.

Felt like a rushed movie crammed full of characters who didn't get any character growth from previous movies so they had a few lines to try and draw from that.

CGI is unpolished with some obvious green screen effects that weren't hidden well, dialogue is cheesy a lot of the times with some odd transitioning between narration, villain is portrayed as stupid and looks more like a video game character due to the cgi and the story felt flimsy at times.

I didn't see this in theatres as I heard it wasn't that great and after watching this movie I can agree.

1 Star for making me laugh though probably not for the reasons the movie wanted.

It's fine. It's not Marvel, no. It's not supposed to be. It's DC. It's a different thing, a different vibe. Lots of fine entertainment here. Don't listen to the naysayers. I would argue that while Marvel movies may be slicker and more fun, DC movies are deeper and richer in character development and plotting. People who carp on DC movie are the same king of people who carp over which is better: Star Wars or Star Trek. Get over it. They're different and that's just fine.
