In the introduction to this new Bison Books edition Mark Harris discusses the making of the classic 1973 film starring Robert DeNiro, based on his screen adaptation of the book. but ... others will say it's the best baseball movie they've ever seen -- though maybe they haven't seen Pride of the Yankees (non-fiction, obviously) or The Natural (fiction, obviously). Go, Roy Hobbs !!!
