Melanie & Jack return in this the fifth book in the Tradd Street series. It's funny, witty, mystical, mysterious, charming, historical, and chocked full of surprises and secrets. I could not put it down!
I absolutely loved this book. This is the first book I've read by this author so I'm not able to make any comparisons to her other books. I normally don't go in for stories with ghosts but the description peaked my interest and I'm so glad I read it. For me it was a very enjoyable read and I'll be picking up more books by this author.
I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to follow the characters with all the mishaps that they were going through. It seemed so natural to accept that old houses would have otherwordly residents who have unresolved issues. I read it on a rainy afternoon, in my warm living room where I settled with my cup of tea and this delightful book.
I forced myself to keep reading to see if it got any stupider and I wasn't disappointed.
Having read all the books in the series, I was very disappointed in this one. It's spent very little time on ghosts and all the houses as they usually do. Most of the focus was on the main character, her weight, and her worries and insecurities. Just really disappointed since Karen White is one of my favorite authors.
