When Silla and Nori arrive at their aunt's home, it's immediately clear that the "blood manor" is cursed. The creaking of the house and the stillness of the woods surrounding them would be enough of a sign, but there are secrets too--the questions that Silla can't ignore: Who is the beautiful boy that's appeared from the woods? Who is the man that her little sister sees, but no one else? And why does it seem that, ever since they arrived, the trees have been creeping closer?
Filled with just as many twists and turns as The Dead House , and with achingly beautiful, chilling language that delivers haunting scenes, AND THE TREES CREPT IN is the perfect follow-up novel for master horror writer Dawn Kurtagich.

If you want a scary story with hidden messages, a creepy monster, and inner turmoil, this book is for you. The descriptions and the way the words are written on the page add to the chilling tone of the book.

It was really good at first. Really creepy and full of mindscrews, and I didn't mind the romance. However the ending was terrible and it really ruined the whole book for me. It's such a cop-out and a cheap, completely out of nowhere twist.

Awesome book. Reminds me of Lovecraft and Slenderman.

The horror factor is definitely present and at times it's gross and creepy. However the poor romance and weak narrative structure really cause this novel to suffer. There are 6 points of view, and it's hard to follow what's happening, especially as there are severe lapses in time. Plus a very disappointing and cliche ending.

Creepy, thriller about sisters who are trying to escape their abusive father. Can Silla figure out what is happening before it is too late?

I was sufficiently creeped out, but I was disappointed by the ending. The writing was interesting and unique.

This book was sufficiently creepy & mysterious but a little slow. I found in compelling up to the last 10-15 pages when it got very over explanative about what was happening.
