The "very short introduction" series provide a quick overview of hundreds of subjects, and the library has quite a number of these works. Any topic - from this book about Hinduism, to scientific concepts, (gravity, infinity) to political systems (U.S. Congress) - are explained in the series published by Oxford University Press. The discussion of Hinduism provided here is fascinating, and for this student of yoga, provides insights into the religious culture that surrounded the development of the philosophy of yoga.
