OMGosh...reading this was like watching a book that keeps you up WAY past your bedtime.
We couldn't stop watching it is so unbelievable & Durst is such a layered person. We just never knew what was coming next. I LOPVED this doc. I am so glad to see it here as I have recommended it to soooooo many friends. Watch it!!

a very interesting documentary - American justice at its finest....or its worst?

Somehow I missed this in 2015 but I am ever glad I watched this. If you liked "Making a Murderer" or "Forensic Files," you ain't seen nothing yet. I was SHOCKED. Highly recommended if you have any interest in the lives of the rich and true crime.

Wow! We binged-watched this when it was on cable and will watch as least once more.

The truth is stranger than fiction. And you can buy the best defense if you are rich.

Just a shocking story. Entertaining in a macabre way. And so sad that two women may have died because they knew and trusted Durst.

I found it particularly interesting that his family (especially his successful brother) want nothing to do with him and I suspect are even scared of Robert Durst.

I highly recommend this miniseries for those with an interest in true crime documentaries like Making a Murderer. I had seen director Andrew Jarecki's previous films, including All Good Things which was based on the disappearance of Robert Durst's wife, and was very interested to see this. It does not disappoint, and it is a fine example of the difference documentarians can make.

Amazing doc and piece of investigative journalism! Fans please read "He Killed Them All" by DA Jeannine Pirro for much more detail. R.I.P. victims (Kathie, Susan and Morris) and kudos to those involved in this 30- year investigation. An engaging read, although Pirro's frequent comments about her own attractiveness and the lack thereof in others annoyed me. A must- read for those interested in true crime but watch The Jinx first! (Best Doc winner 2015). Dirtbag goes to court re Susan Berman Jan 6 2017 and is suspected in two MORE murders (of teenaged girls.) Doesn't surprise me at all.

Chilling! A must-see. You probably wouldn't believe it if it were fiction.

Indeed a 'truth is stranger than fiction' tale, which becomes more bizarre as it unfolds. Recommended.

There are some people that, no matter how much money they threw at the case, were convicted and shouldn't have been. And there are people that escape responsibility because they're able to mount a really effective defense. Do I think it's unfair? Yeah, I do think it's unfair. But, we are in a capitalistic system, and the people that make the money can drive the Cadillacs, and people that don't make as much money have to get... Buy a used car.

-We're not here to blacken the name of a dead man. There's an old joke in Texas... They hang horse thieves and let murderers go. That's because they don't have any horses that need stealing. Uh, we do have some people that need killing.
-I did not kill my best friend. I did dismember him.
-"We're here to determine "if the event that killed Morris Black "was murder or not, not what happened to his body after he was already dead."
-As a homicide investigator, you work for God because the victim's not there to tell his story. You're there to represent the victim. You're there to tell his story. You're doing that for God.
-Look at every piece of evidence you heard and consider it. You can't segment it and only look at certain portions of it and ignore everything else. That's not proper. Possibly guilty. Probably guilty. We all talked about that. What that means is not guilty.

-I just didn't want kids around. I didn't want to raise a... Children. I, I, I, somehow I thought
I would be a jinx.
- ... "that you had hit her. Do you remember that?" // "No. I don't remember the first time I had slapped her or hit her."
- There's no corpse. We don't even have a crime scene. No corpse, no crime scene. We got... This is a missing persons case.
-And I (Geraldine) said, "So, tell him you can't go." And she looked at me like I'd just sprouted horns.
-Something happened when she met Bobby Durst. It was like "Here's a man as powerful as my father. "He is connected. "He has money. "He can always get out of trouble. And he needs me."

-A teenage boy fishing in the shallow waters off Galveston, Texas, stumbled on the gruesome remains of a murder.
-Initial impressions when I saw him being brought in was like, "Really? This guy? Did that? Didn't fit." God, the guy looks like a librarian.
-Robert Durst first made headlines after he reported his wife missing in 1982. And to this day, the case remains unsolved.
-"Your bond has been set at $250,000." And he asked me, he said, "Well, what should I do?" And I said, "I don't know. Do you have $250,000?" And he just calmly looked at me
and he goes, "Well, not on me."
