A great movie for fans of British mysteries or forensic-based mysteries. A stand-alone movie with the feel of a Masterpiece Mystery or a period series like Murdoch Mysteries.

Excellent film, casting is very good. Sometimes plot is a bit predictable, but still fun.

Wish this was a BBC series. I would have liked to see more of this!

Clean cut language. Well studied story that moves fast in a blend of suspense and British black humor. Excellent acting. A quality movie you wish not to finish. A few gruesome images.

British drama, well written, acted and directed. Clever, dark humor with great musical score. The old-fashioned methods of detection are fascinating. Exposes typically corrupt cops and government officials. Best line: Execution is "sending faulty goods back to the manufacturer."

Be aware that there a lot of gruesome images.

PBS film that takes place in London during the Blitz of WWII. Murder mystery, police procedural which brings early forensic investigation to the fore. Patrick Kennedy and Tamzin Merchant are very good as the leads playing colleagues both in crime solving and love. The suspense builds as suspects are eliminated amid street chases and falling bombs.

Excellent, and entirely possible.
Do the ends justify the means?
European ending, which will annoy North Americans who seem to like pat butterfly endings.

Opening line: The term autopsy actually derives from the ancient Greek autopsia, meaning to see for oneself. Julius Caesar's proved it
was the second stab wound, the one to the heart, that killed him. Making it highly unlikely he had time to say: 'Et tu Brute?'

Dr,. Collins to cop: And could I have that sandwich bagged, I'll need to examine it.
Cop: No need, Sir. That's mine, that is.
Dr. Collins: This is a crime scene, not a Lyon's tea shop.
