Summary
Add a SummaryIn this book, the narrator switches between the points of views of two Ever After High students, Raven Queen and Apple White. Apple is the daughter of snow white. She is loved by all and truly believes that everything will work out in the end as long as everyone follows their set destiny. Raven is the daughter of the Evil Queen. Everyone fears her and she wants to write her own destiny.
In the end, will Raven and Apple both sign the storybook of legends and choose to follow in the paths of their parents? You will only know if you read this book.
At Ever After High, an enchanting boarding school, the children of fairytale legends prepare themselves to fulfill their destinies as the next generation of Snow Whites, Prince Charmings and Evil Queens...whether they want to or not. Each year on Legacy Day, students sign the Storybook of Legends to seal their scripted fates. For generations, the Village of Book End has whispered that refusing to sign means The End-both for a story and for a life.

At Ever After High, the sons and daughters of famous fairy-tale legends learn how to be the next generation of Snow Whites, Prince Charmings and Evil Queens! And when Legacy Day comes, each and every one of them pledge their destiny as that character. Apple White, daughter of Snow White, is super hex-cited to make new friends, become the Good Queen, and find a romantic Prince to carry her away! But Raven Queen, daughter of the Evil Queen, realizes that she doesn't want to follow in her mother's fabled footsteps-she wants to have her own happily-ever-after. But for years, Headmaster Grimm has warned the students of Ever After High that if you don't sign the Storybook of Legends and pledge to be your parent's character, you, the members of your tale, and your story will vanish forever-after! Poof! Can Raven find a way to make her story exist without being evil? And can Apple convince her that without an Evil Queen, their story will be ruined or worse-gone? It will be a Legacy Day that no one will forget!

Comment
Add a CommentI like these series of books very much. I love how each character had a different personality.
A... surprisingly good read. Raven and Apple's sides were both treated with nuance. You wouldn't expect this much from essentially doll commercials.
very intriguing
After I finished watching Ever After High, I immediately rushed to read the book and I was not disappointed. Every year on Legacy Day, the students at Ever After High boarding school sign the Storybook of Legends and pledge to follow in the footsteps of their fairytale parents. The first thing that caught my eye about this book was the beautiful hardcover and pages. The pink borders of the pages and the fonts are the icing of the cake. Shannon Hale took no time to get right into the plot. This book is not like every other average fairytale. Although it focuses primarily on the story of Snow White, it explores all fairytale stories. You will fall in with this book from the first page. Whether you are a Raven Queen or Apple White, this book is for you. @xxchanel of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Love this book! I love how Raven is such a rebel. Shannon Hale is an amazing book writer.
:-)
Apple is so determined to get her way. News flash Apple White, just because you are the fairest of the hall-of them all, whatever, doesn't mean you can get your way. you are not in charge of raven's life. she is!
