Lex, a teenage Grim Reaper, has the power to Damn souls, and it's getting out of control. Her boyfriend, Driggs, is dead . . . sort of. She's a fugitive, on the run from the maniacal new mayor of Croak and the townspeople who want to see her pay the price for her misdeeds. Uncle Mort rounds up the Junior Grims to flee Croak once again, but this time they're joined by Grotton, the most powerful Grim of all time. Their new mission is clear: Fix his mistakes, or the Afterlife will cease to exist, along with all the souls in it.
The gang heads for Necropolis, the labyrinth-like capital city of the Grimsphere. There, they discover that the Grimsphere needs a reboot. To do that, the portals to the Afterlife must be destroyed . . . but even that may not be enough to fix the damage. Things go from bad to worse, and when at last the fate of the Afterlife and all the souls of the Damned hang in the balance, it falls to Lex and her friends to make one final, impossible choice.

this book was absolutely amazing half the stuff i didn't expect to happen and when it did it blew my mind and fit right into place and then later when the president died i thought mort would be the new president but it was pandora that part made me so shocked i never imagined it would be her everyone describes her as really old then after they got off the elevator lex was describing how she looked younger i couldn't believe it at all and ayjay is back as well after lex just saw his girl and gave his girl his name because neither one of them remember each other because when she died it was to hard on him. then the fact that driggs doesn't un-damn people he un-grimms them is amazing but unexpected because not only can he undamn them but hes with the most powerful grim of all. i like how they teleported back to where driggs died... i hate how lex went to the darkness so she didn't have to kill any one else because she was "good" just like her uncle said in his final moments but i like how because she died driggs had grotton help him go to the darkness which showed how much love he truly had for lex.... they both gave up everything possible even each other for what they believed in for lex a place with out grims and an afterlife for everyone undamaged for driggs it was her...
