Horrible walburg and Dwayne should be ashamed of putting their name on this. Horrible. Should not even have a rating. I'm 30 something and I think i was too young to watch

A fun movie about three knuckleheads.

Dwayne Johnson had me rolling. This is a good movie, really entertaining. However, the events this movie loosely and comically portray are really scary. You would not want to find yourself in the hands of guys like the ones this movie is based on.

I am sure that somebody somewhere liked this movie, however that person is definitely not me. Good actors but painfully awful film with not a hint of humour - crude and ugly: yes, funny: no.

1/2 star only!! Yes it is a vulgar, offensive movie ......... showing how really dumb criminal minds pumped up with steroids can get .... since it based LOOSELY on a true story. I didn't think the Rock & Mark W would do such a movie, so that part you'd think they'd be embarrassed about ever having done it. All movies based on true stories and always change how it really goes down. I don't believe they had to make the movie as nasty as it is. These actors should not have participated in it as it is written. You won't miss a thing by missing this movie!

This movie was absolutely hilarious and I enjoyed every minute of it. I definitely recommend it if you are an action comedy fan. I know this is one of the best movies I have seen in a while and trust me I have seen many movies.

Who doesn't like, The Rock and
Mark Wahlberg? This movie is
outrageous and based on a TRUE story.

I thought it was super funny. And I'm picky when it comes to movies.

One of the worst Rock movies I have ever seen do not recommend watching it if possible don't even watch it

I thought the movie had a strong start, getting me all pumped up with notions of working hard to achieve the "American dream" and "If you think you deserve it, the universe will serve it" but when it descends into the criminal activity it seems pretty disconnected from that - but I guess that's the tragedy of misguided human nature at times. It was still an action-packed adrenaline rush of a film and I enjoyed it, just thought it could have been more solid based on the groundwork of those thrilling opening scenes.

Pain & Gain is a 2013 American crime-comedy film directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. The film is based on a story published in a 1999 series of Miami New Times articles written by Pete Collins and compiled in Collins' 2013 book Pain & Gain: This is a True Story, which details the kidnapping, extortion, torture, and murder of several victims by an organized group of criminals that included a number of bodybuilders affiliated with Sun Gym.[4][5] The film is Michael Bay's fourth R-rated film by the MPAA. The film's title is a play on the common exercising adage of No pain, no gain. The adage is used for the French title of the film.

The film was released on April 27, 2013 and received mixed reviews, praising the direction, acting and script but criticizing the violence, the comic chemistry and the historical differences with the real events. The film grossed more than $85 million worldwide, making it one of Michael Bay's lower-grossing films.
