This movie blew me away. It's frightening that there are such close-minded people in this world, but Paul Saltzman manages to depict De La Beckwith with respect. Saltzman is very likeable — understated, fair, funny, respectable. This is an informative, sober picture that shows just how far things have come in a relatively short time.

This is an amazing video of a white 60’s Mississippi civil rights worker from the north conversing with the son of the murderer of civil right lead Medgar Evers. The son still believes that the civil rights workers deserved what they got because they were just a bunch of trouble-makers. The video includes Harry Belafonte and a leader of the Klu Klux Klan who is still alive and living in Mississippi. Belafonte talks about the time (1960’s) he and Sydney Poitier were out in rural Mississippi at night and their car was bumped and harassed by several Klan cars filled with Klan members armed with rifles and shotguns shouting racist and threatening epithets at their car.
