Over The Replacements' 12-year existence, its live sets were magical. Gorman Bechard's remarkable history of the Mats takes us from their first show and everywhere in between. He relies solely on the fans; memories of their albums & antics.

Exceedingly dull and endless string of interviews with middle-aged mid-westerners.

The concept for this movie is, frankly, rather bizarre. No music from the band, no photos of the band, no live footage of The Replacements playing. All you get is a string of fans talking about the band. Some of them famous (like Grant Hart from Husker Du) others simple everyday people. This is NOT for casual fans, but for folks like me who put The Mats in as one of their favourite bands.
