This is the fifth book in The Young Samurai Series and Jack wakes up with no memory of where he is, how he has been hurt and where all his possessions have gone. He just knows he must recover his swords, and his father’s rutter as well as the other items he was carrying. As he tries to go on his way he is joined by a drunken samurai and a young thief. The three gradually come to appreciate each other and the skills each possesses. As the ninja have taught him, water comes to Jack’s aid. The book ends with us eagerly awaiting the next instalment of this great series. Reviewed by BPL volunteer EE.
