I think especially because I was listening to this and as of late, I haven't been as good at focusing on what I am listening to, that this book deserves 5 stars for keeping my attention and making me want to listen even more! Oh David Levithan, you have such beautiful writing and think up the most interesting plots and structures of books, I can't help but love them! I'd definitely recommend this!

There's an endless supply of advice about achieving happiness by living in the moment. Regrets about the past and worries about the future are distractions that only result in unhappiness, the philosophy goes; the only thing that matters is today.
-----
No one has ever fully embodied that philosophy the way that A does, though. For A there really is no yesterday or tomorrow, since every day A wakes up as a different person. Temporarily inhabiting the body of a different person, to be precise. Always someone the same age as A from the same geographic region. Aside from those two limitations, every day A gets to be someone new and has lived sixteen years of life experiencing a constant succession of present moments. Every day: a different body, different house, different parents, siblings, and friends, different issues. Never any control over how the situation came to be, never any worries about what happens next. There is always only ever today.
-----
Until the day A spends falling in love with Rhiannon in the body of her boyfriend, Justin. Suddenly today is not enough, as A wants today, tomorrow, the next day, and forever with Rhiannon. Suddenly A is on a quest to prove to Rhiannon that it's only who we are on the inside that matters regardless of the external packaging, and will play havoc with the life of each day's borrowed body to make it happen.
-----
A thoughtful, moving story.

This book was fantastically written and had me hooked from the very first sentence. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a good, unconvential (yet realistic!) love story.

Confusingly good tale about the afterlife. It's hush-hush meets elsewhere.

I found this to be a bit monotonous...but then again, how could it be anything but when the story line is a teenager who wakes up in a different body every day? There were two narrators with this audiobook; one with a horrible lisp so bad that I had a hard time concentrating on the story. A better book is "My Name is Memory."
