This is a wonderfully funny and honest book to start with if you have never read anything by Philip Roth. The title is the name of the novella which is bound together with a few short stories. You will pick it up and read it in one or two sittings.

Roth's famous first book is brilliant. It is a beautiful story, funny painful and filled with truth. It's all handled with intelligence and compassion.
