There are currently dozens of anti-inflammation diet books. This book does not provide any original information but is readable. There are numerous recipes grouped by type with 'cutesy' titles, such as Great Grains, Robust Roots, etc. Part of the cover page states "... scientifically proven plan to: ... increase energy ..."; which is possibly why there are so many recipes with high quantities of granulated sugar and all-purpose flour. The menus are based on attaining a daily limit of 2,000 calories but there are numerous empty calories. Little mention is made of better alternatives to simple carbohydrates, dairy products, etc. In summary, some clear text on inflammation and better foods, but missed the chance to provide overall healthier recipes.
