Matthew Bannon, a poor art student living in New York City, finds a duffel bag filled with diamonds during a chaotic attack at Grand Central Station. Plans for a worry-free life with his stunning girlfriend Katherine fill his thoughts--until he realizes that he is being hunted, and that whoever is after him won't stop until they have reclaimed the diamonds and exacted their revenge.

Trailing him is the Ghost, the world's greatest assassin, who has just pulled off his most high-profile hit: killing Walter Zelvas, a top member of the international Diamond Syndicate. There's only one small problem: the diamonds he was supposed to retrieve from Zelvas are missing. Now, the Ghost is on Bannon's trail--but so is a rival assassin who would like nothing more than to make the Ghost disappear forever. From "America's #1 storyteller" ( Forbes ) comes a high-speed, high-stakes, winner-take-all thrill ride of adrenaline-fueled suspense.

The book was a great read and what I have come to see as this isn't James Patterson writing it, it is pretty much 70% Marshall Karp and 30% James Patterson. Seems to me that the contributing authors are actually doing most of the writing and James Patterson just taking the book. But it is a great piece with a great twist that, I have to say, I DID SEE COMING, for me a little predictable if you put it all together fast. So yeah.. still a great read though. And what's with all the sappy love stories at the end of a lot of the books recently.. can we just get a book without it having some sort of love story involved please?

Okay book if you're looking for something light and fast. Nothing exceptional or memorable

The book was okay but some of the twists were a bit over done. It seems he is on an assembly line writing binge and the latest are not as good as his earlier works when he was the sole writer.

Plot within a plot. Another surprising ending with part of the ending placed in Russia and the best part being philantropical. Very gripping book

This book was good... some unlikely bits but good. There's a really nice twist in the middle.

Nice crime story but would be much better without the most unlikely love story (the world's best for hire killer and a real art professor fell in love!!!) that slowed down the pace of the plot with ultra mooshy romance.
