From 9/11 conspiracy theorists and UFO obsessives tothe cult of Ayn Rand and Birthercrusaders, America is suffering from an explosion in post-rationalistideological movements. In Among the Truthers, journalist Jonathan Kay offers a thoughtful and sobering look at how socialnetworking and Web-based video sharing have engendered a flourishing of new conspiracism. Kay details the sociological profiles of tenbrands of modern conspiracists--the Failed Historian, the Mid-Life Crack-Up, the Damaged Survivor, the Campus Revolutionary, theStoner, the Clinical Case, the Puzzle Solver, the Christian Doomsayer, the CosmicVoyager, and the Egomaniac--in a compelling exploration of America's departurefrom reason and what it means for the very future of rational discourse as thenation steps further into the 21stcentury.

Required reading for those who believe that false-flag events never occur, that governments and institutions never lie- but need external validation for their willful "rejection of logic and rational discourse."
Nothing to see here, citizen; go back to work.

[Update: President Obama vows to veto the senate legislation to un-redact those redacted 28 pages from the 9/11 Commission Report. FBI continues to hide thousands of documents mentioning the names of Saudis involved - - CIA accidentally destroys that 67,000 page report on CIA torture.]
Jonathan Kay, a fellow at the ultra-rightwing neocon successor to PNAC (Project for a New American Century), the Foundation in Defense of Democracies (FDD or FUD), with fellow members, Eric Cantor, R. James Woolsey, etc. has written a most atrocious pile of propaganda anyone has ever wasted time reading. No rating for trashy stuff like underwritten by Kay's latest neocon foundation. What bothers me about this propaganda specialist with the Foundation in Defense of Democracies (FUD) is that he doesn’t even acknowledge the glaring “coincidences” of 9/11/01, and I’m not mentioning the other 1,001 “coincidences” but those strictly pertaining to missing monies: on 9/10/01, the Pentagon’s comptroller, at nationally televised news conference, mentions that his auditing team has uncovered the sum of $2.3 trillion missing in unaccounted for DoD funds, and on the morning of 9/11/01, the very same auditing team (DIA’s Financial Management staff) meets for a last-minute emergency conference, where the majority of them are killed, and the remainder severely injured, when an airliner crashes dead-center into the Pentagon’s west wall, site of their meeting. Nor does Kay mention that when Building 7 at the WTC collapses, approximately 3,000 source document files of ongoing SEC investigations are conveniently destroy, thus ending those investigations (no source docs, no case), plus the very salient fact that due to the events of 9/11/01, the SEC invokes the emergency clause in the Securities Act, allowing hundreds of billions of securities to be quickly and quietly transferred, without the normal oversight or supposed clearinghouse regulation and procedures. It appears 9/11 was incredibly prescient and uber-convenient for the super-crooks that day? [The Publlishers Weekly reviewer refers to Kay as "a fair-minded conservative" - - riiiigghhht! And Gozilla was a fair-minded giant monster.]
