I agree with alpaca lover's review. (except I don't know why the 3.5 stars, I gave 1 star) Not much here unless you don't know enough to not eat KFC and hamburgers every day. Duh.
From page 49 to page 271 is all recipes! I didn't sign up for a cookbook. And I'm certainly not going to bake bread and muffins! That's not going to help my pre-diabetes, I know that for a fact.
The actual 10 week action plan is only 4 and a half pages at the very end of the book.
Totally disappointed. This book was not helpful at all to me. If you are starting from square one, with absolutely no knowledge of what the condition is and what healthful living is, this might be good for you. Otherwise, forget it.

If you haven't got a clue, this book is great.
If you are already exercising and eating carefully, she has very little on the other thing you can do; reducing stress is major but she's not an expert at that so it's not here. As for losing weight, if you are exercising and eat very healthy but portion control makes you walk around ravenous, she has no solutions to offer. Apparently, hunger doesn't happen if you are eating small but healthy portions. Give me a break.

So - this book is aimed at the vast majority of Americans who are totally clueless and are still eating brisket, fried chicken, beef and other garbage foods. For them, this is great.
