As a young man, Wyatt Earp was a caricature of the Western lawman, spending his days drinking in saloons, gambling, and visiting brothels. He gained notoriety as the legendary gunman in the shootout at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona, but shortly after his death in 1929, distressed Americans down on their luck transformed Wyatt Earp into a folk hero.

I only discovered the existence of this book today and it is now on order. I have not yet read or examined it, other than the brief description above. And that is the problem. I am very familiar with the life of this lawman and it never ends with the nonsense written about him by those who know little or nothing about his life.
Above in the description it states that he spent his days drinking in saloons. Where in the world did this come from? Wyatt Earp almost never drank alcohol. He did gamble, which was not looked down upon as it is today. He did not visit brothels as also stated, but in his youth was involved in that business. He soon left that behind and lived most of his life with the same devoted woman.
For a far more researched and realistic look at his interesting life I would suggest reading, Wyatt Earp: The Life Behind the Legend by Casey Tefertiller.
