A great story for those interested in Chinese history. For more mature readers than most CYOA books, with some people being killed and others enslaved.

I only ran through 1 scenario and tried to read backwards from "The End" from the other scenarios. It ended up missing some story or context in between, but I felt lazy and didn't want to possibly have to read through all the passages where I chose. A fair story, and every choice and ending gives a different feeling witht the outcome, although sometimes emotions are projected on to reader in the outcomes, and sometimes left to the reader to comtemplate or feel.

And on a fussy note, on pages 67 "...bravery and merit[.]" and 89 "All is silent[.]" are both missing the periods at the point I marked. Considering the original copyright of the text was 1991, it appears to have been overlooked.
