Delicious recipes, tea-time tips, opera, and murder—in a national bestselling mystery series that’s “quickly become a favorite of readers.”(Mystery Reader) While riding her horse in a race through the South Carolina Lowcountry, Theodosia Browning finds her arch nemesis, Abby Davis, dead. What’s more, the victim’s brother is Theodosia’s old flame. Who’d have guessed they’d be reunited through cold-blooded murder? Theodosia’s investigation takes her from the Lowcountry thicket to the backstage maze of a darkened theater where a maestro of murder waits for the next cue. All proving that when it comes to high drama, Theodosia can give Verdi a run for his money.

An enjoyable cosy. Always nice to meet up with Drayton and Haley again. Theo is conveniently rewarded which will no doubt be expanded on in the next instalment.

I really enjoyed this Tea Shop mystery. Kind of disappointed when Theo sort of kind of almost let Jory back into her life.

I have read serveral of the "tea shop mysteries" and I believe Childs is improving but, she still tends to put in atleast one scene that really isn't necessary and doesn't always tie up loose ends. These are easy to read novels and I love that her boyfriend isn't a police officier or a private detective!

Just like her other tea shop mysteries. Decently good book - but Theodosia is always so fickle, especially in love, and this novel is no exception.

Decent plot line and conclusion. Sympathetic Heroine.

Just discovered this author very recently and have read several of her books in the "Tea Shop Mysteries" as well as her "Scrapbooking" series. But both series are in danger of interchangeable, formulaic plotting which is starting to become boring.
