This is written as a narrative story interrupted by diary entries from Lydia. I do not think the language, or contents, of these diary entries are realistic to who Lydia was portrayed as in "Pride and Prejudice". There are also places where the narrative and diary are out of sync with each other, as well as places where the timing of events is not correct from P&P, for no useful purpose.

This is not really a sequel as the first half or so is a retelling from a different point of view. Not the worst P&P followup I've read, but not the best either.
