Seniors will enjoy joining us year round on Wednesday afternoons to watch classic movies. The theme for September is The Late, Great Doris Day. Today's film is:
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956). This Alfred Hitchcock film gave the world Doris Day’s theme song, Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera). In the film, Day plays Jimmy Stewart’s wife. On a family trip to Morocco, their characters are drawn into an international plot resulting in the kidnapping of their son. In addition to winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song and being #48 on the AFI list of Top Movie Songs, the song is also cleverly made an integral part of the plot of the film. The film was also nominated to the AFI’s 10 top 10 Mysteries. Groups of 5+ call ahead. Adults.
